Meet Dr. Bernier

Dr. Joseph Bernier is a native of  Virginia and attended the University of Virginia and the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry.  After earning his D.D.S. degree, Joseph served in the United States Army for nine years as a Dental Corps Officer and completed both an AEGD-1 residency and his specialty training in Endodontics.   Dr. Bernier is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and Fellow in the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.  He currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Endodontics at the University Of Texas School Of Dentistry at Houston where he teaches both graduate and undergraduate students.  He has served in numerous positions of leadership in local, state and national Dental organizations and has lectured extensively throughout the United States. 

Dr. Bernier stays abreast of the latest advancements in the specialty of endodontics by maintaining memberships in the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, Texas Dental Association, Greater Houston Dental Society, College of Diplomates of the American Board of Endodontics and the Southern Endodontic Study Club.  Dr. Bernier resides in Houston with his wife Maria Bernier, M.D., a pathologist, and their three children, Lizette, Sophia and Alexander.
